20 Breweries, 1 Cause

In March 2015, the owners of Forge Brew Works, Kerri and Matt Rose learned that they were expecting their first child. In August hey learned Kerri had Stage 4 stomach cancer, and in September their son, Lance, was born prematurely, so Kerri could begin chemotherapy. 20 local breweries came together to brew a special beer, Kerri’s Cure, to help the Rose’s with their medical bills. Unfortunately Kerri Rose lost her battle with cancer on January 16, 2015. Starting January 29, Kerri’s Cure Belgian Pale Ale will be available from the participating breweries, and the proceeds will go to pay the Rose’s remaining medical bills. Any surplus funds will be used to provide for their son, Lance’s, education in accordance with Kerri’s wishes. Kerri was 32 years old.
